My sister-in-law cracks me up sometimes, in much the same way ... well, we are all amused by one another, in my family.
Just enough background: she is a writer, and recently sent a novel off to her agent and got it back with entirely reasonable (and foreseeable) notes about things that need to be addressed before it will be ready to go. So that's what's occupying her time lately.

new complete change of subject: i was nominated for a grant and have to write a 1 pg letter explaining what i would do with said grant, were I to get it.Maybe it's funnier if you know her, but I actually did laugh out loud. :-)
my answer is "I'd use it to support myself for a month or two so I don't need to work and can finish my $@&# revision." Now, must make that 1 page long.
and i have to take out the profanity
so it's even shorter.
