Entry tags:
[sigh] admin fun time.
My latest type-A flareup has to do with my LJ (and, thanks to the importer, DW) archive. I've got all these tags, but some of them are imprecise, some are relics of that dark time when no tag could have more than, what, 100 entries?, and so on. So I've been taking a little time when I have a little time and going back and cleaning up the tags. If I'd been able to do this before importing, so much the better, but it appears I will then do the same damn thing with the DW journal. But it is not pointless! I do seek out old entries from time to time, and the more reliable the tags are, the easier that will be. I hope going forward I'll remember to tag at the time of posting, instead of having to go back and add tags a month at a time when it occurs to me. (I've got iTunes clearing-up to do as well. Good thing we have all this technology, isn't it? [g]) Anyway, in my retagging progress I'm at mid-October 2004, and it's kind of a kick to look back at what I was posting about five years ago.
But now back to work. (Real work. Yes.)

Also, yeah. I keep starting to tag old stuff and then inventing a new tag halfway through that also would have applied to things before and... it's a bit of a mess. Though not as much of a mess as the file system for music and iTunes on my computers, so. That's something. /o\

(But now I do wonder if the imported entries count as crossposted. Hmm.)

For everything since the import, though, I can just do the work once. :-)
