afghan of dooom: knitting update
Blocks in complete afghan: 55
Blocks completed as of this evening: 22 (which you'd think would be 40%)
Actual percent of work done: 40% exactly! The relative size of the blocks lines up exactly with the number of blocks, for once.
Target date: August 17
Today's date: June 16
Days remaining: 62, less a few for shipping
Blocks remaining: 33
Blocks per day to stay on target given 62 days: a shade more than half; blocks are of different sizes, so this means a different amount of work each day, but I'm not prepared to do more math right now [g]
Blocks per day to stay on target given, say, 55 days: 6/10; also, this assumes can work on the thing every day, which I can tell you right now won't really be possible - but can do a whole block in an evening when it's a small square, sometimes even when it's a rectangle, and can do more than .6 of a block on a weekend day e.g.
In short, despite missing several days since the last time I updated almost a month ago, I am only a hair off the pace I was on then. And the thing is looking good!
Odds of project being finished on time: right now I'm going to say excellent. Let us keep our fingers, needles, etc. crossed!
