hrmph.

Bartlet: I can't sleep.

Keyworth: What happens when you try to sleep?

Bartlet: I stay awake.
I don't know what made me think of it, but earlier this week it definitely occurred to me that when I'd gone to bed the night before I'd lain down and fallen asleep almost immediately, and how lucky I felt that I didn't remember even a few minutes of lying awake.

So it figures that last night I went to bed and lay there for hours. This doesn't happen to me often, and I know it does happen to some of you all the time, and I'm sorry about that, but for me it's awfully uncommon and I therefore have no mechanism in place to cope with it. I must not have dozed off until about an hour before the alarm went off, which totally sucks.

I took a sick day. Hopefully will sleep fine tonight and this will just have been a blip.
