Did my yuletide signup. Hurrah! Perhaps this will put a stop to the moments of frozen panic I get when I think OMG I HAVE MISSED YULETIDE. I haven't quite woken up from a nightmare in which signups closed without me, but it's been close.
Speaking of dreams, last night I had a dream where because the incumbent was running unopposed, nobody much bothered to vote on Election Day, so the fact that I did and instead of voting for the incumbent I wrote in "me" meant that I was elected in his place. (That's right: in dream world, number of votes cast = 1. How they were able to tell who "me" referred to on a secret ballot was not, in the dream, an issue.) So the rest of the dream was spent dealing with the fact that I had this unexpected new job and even if I didn't hang onto it for long, the fact that I'd had it at all meant that for the rest of my life I could be addressed as Congresswoman Fox.
