We lost our first game in the bigspiel tonight, due to a couple of situations where we got down to requiring an important draw from the skip - one came up short, for the tie, and one went too deep, for the loss. But the highlight was a moment when, discussing the fact that many (if not most) of us call sweeping, even if we do so loudly, and then usually shut up, reserving the high-pitched high-volume possibly-borderline-hysterical-screaming calls for Serious Situations, Smug Bastard commented on Crazy Lunatic's (who wasn't there; we were talking about him entirely behind his back) tendency to scream hysterically on every shot by saying, and I quote, "Wolf, comma, boy who cried." Heh.
