but, dudes. nexium? the acid blocker?
works. i had no idea what was causing all these stomach issues i'd been having, but the pepto and the hyoscyamine (which is an anti-spasmodic, and the less said about that, the better) weren't helping, and the doctor said "here, take this," and it does ease the pain some -- but more than that, only two days in, i could tell when it was time to take it not so much by looking at the clock (trying to keep the doses evenly spaced, dontcha know) as by feeling that the previous dose was wearing off.
my professor tells me he had similar problems twenty years ago, only worse and treated with medications that are now available over the counter. "the relief is marvelous when it's healed," he said to me.
"i'm looking forward to it," i said.
