I've cribbed this meme from cordelia_v, on the grounds that the first topic is a good one for those of us who have been a little down on ourselves lately. I think the last one will be the most difficult, but who knows, maybe it will get me to finish my deadly-sins icon series? Only what color is "avarice"? (Green is, of course, taken.)

Day 1 - Pride. Seven great things about yourself.

1. Voice. I am a damn good singer, is what I am; I have a terrific instrument and musicianship coming out of my fingers. (Unfortunately, like so many of us, I am actually a little bit cursed with a natural gift, by which I mean I've never had to work especially hard to be very good, so I've never been particularly motivated to work hard to be bloody fantastic. But that's for another day.)
   
2. Brain. I am also wicked smart. (But see above.)
   
3. Presence. Multiple people have told me at different times that I seem, at least to them, to have a rock-solid grip on everything in my life. Granted, my usual response is along the lines of "Huh. Fooled you", but I think at least appearing to be with-it and together is a feature rather than a bug.
   
4. Presents. I'm usually very good at gifts. I can remember what people have looked at wistfully or mentioned wishing they had or chosen not to buy for themselves, and make it happen (whether by myself or by enlisting teammates). Only sometimes I can't wait for a gift-giving occasion, so if I've given someone something awesome in, like, August, because that's when I found it, I might well find myself with no good ideas at Christmas.
   
5. Shame. I know I shouldn't have done that pun with "presence" and "presents". You might think this doesn't belong on the 'pride' list, but I am proud of the fact that when I do something dumb, I recognize it and generally make every effort not to do it again. I don't think everyone does that and I'm glad I do.
   
6. Curling. I'm never going to be the best there is, but I'm a decent shot and a good line caller and a very good sweeper, plus I'm a good official and a good teacher. I am good at this!
   
7. Rack. 'Nuff said.
