i'm late because of curling, and i still don't have an icon for this one.

Day 1 - Pride. Seven great things about yourself.

Day 2 - Greed. Seven worldly material desires.

Hmm. Worldly material ones, is it?
  1. Space. I like my apartment very much, but I do keep looking to see if I see a better one, whether to rent or own - with more space, both in general and specifically for storage. I wouldn't want to live in my brother's apartment (I mean, even if my brother and his family weren't living there), but I do envy the amount of space he has. (Oops! Envy is for another day.)
  2. Things. Nothing is actually badly wrong with my couch, but I've been planning to replace it for years. The new one will have much firmer springs and really be better in a lot of ways. Someday.
  3. Entertainment. More DVDs. More, more, more. And books. Books and movies and TV. More more more. (Oops. Gluttony is for another day.)
  4. And. And a lovely big flat-screen TV to watch it on (in the bigger apartment where such a thing would fit, and so would my comfy furniture for snuggling up and reading or knitting in).
  5. Zoom. I love my car. But as Dorothy Parker observed ("Why is it, when I am in Rome,/ I'd give an eye to be at home,/ Yet when on native earth I be/ My soul is sick for Italy?"), among others, we do tend to want what we haven't got. For years I wanted the Mini. I have one. I love it. ... I kind of want a Honda Fit.
  6. Yum. Stand mixer. Stand mixer. Stand mixer. (Of course I don't desire three of them - but at the moment I have none, nor the counter space. My mythical bigger apartment has more living space and more storage space and about nine times the counter space.)
  7. Cash. I wish I had the kind of means where I could live fairly comfortably without having to even stop to think about frugality, and be the sort of person I want to be with regard to spreading the wealth around (because it's nice to share), and travel business class most or even all of the time. I still don't like flying, but my god, being up at the front of the plane just makes the whole experience orders of magnitude less unpleasant.

Day 3 - Wrath. Seven things that piss you off.
Day 4 - Sloth. Seven things you neglect to do.
Day 5 - Envy. Seven qualities you lack and covet.
Day 6 - Gluttony. Seven guilty pleasures.
Day 7 - Lust. Seven love secrets.
