weird summer weather

so i lay down to watch some TV at, like, 4:00 pm. woke up -- having had no intention, mind you, of falling asleep in the first place -- at 8:30. no dreams. i'd barely moved. i've hardly slept that soundly -- especially during an unintentional nap -- in months.

so i taped west wing at 11 instead of 7. good thing the storm had moved through by then, and the power was done intermittently going out.
