I have ordered my swiss ball office chair. I'm just going to buy it my own self instead of going through the whole tedious paperwork process to get my workplace to reimburse me for it. (And then I will own it, so when I leave I'll take it with me and that will be that.)

Make sure you label & tag it as personal property! Otherwise, you could lose it. (not that I have ever had that problem, ahem, ex-employers who kept some of my stuff until I raised ever-loving hell)

The odds that a swiss ball chair would ever be confused for anything purchased by my workplace on its own initiative are vanishingly slim - but that's a good note. I will not only tag it but also e-mail someone in charge that I have done this thing myself, so there is a "paper" record.
