i've had it with hotmail. HAD IT. seriously. way too often it flings network errors at me when i want to attach files and/or when i want to send messages, and i've had it.

am investigating other e-mail options, including non-web-based ones, and welcoming suggestions.

fastmail.fm and ureach.com. The free ureach option has limited space, however - http://www20.ureach.com/help/planinfo.htm

fastmail gives you 10 MB free, or 16 for a one time fee.

Both are *very* reliable, and have almost no spam.
