Woke up 2:30a because the rain was that loud. If you covered a stainless steel mixing bowl in cling film pulled perfectly taut and smooth, and then turned the sink sprayer on it from two or three inches away, you'd approximate what the rain sounded like. If you were in the mixing bowl.
