this afternoon's fun parenting conversation

7yo: Sometimes I can hear other voices in my body.
me: . . . Tell me more about that, please.

So what he means is that he's sort of internally verbalizing his feelings, which he's experiencing as hearing his own voice in his head when he has a big emotion. Seems normal to me, and as best I can tell without asking super-leading questions, he's not scared by it, so: okay.
