mixed feelings about mixed events
so yesterday while we were watching the finals, at one point our skip B came and asked ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
datlowen and me what other events we think this team might want to play. our basic answer was "ones we can afford," since we're young'uns with grad school debts and not grown-up people with careers, dontcha know -- but as soon as he suggested the harvest in philly (probably the weekend before thanksgiving, right?), i had to say No Way, i can't do another big weekend away between now and the end of the semester. which is true, so i feel virtuous for being aware of the situation and sticking to the decision that's best for my schoolwork ... but i hate saying i can absolutely not curl in that bonspiel. :-(
