so i did my junior year in edinburgh, right? i'm home for thanksgiving this past weekend and my folks asked me how the phd applications are coming (i'm freaking out about them, thanks for asking), and wondered why i didn't apply to edinburgh -- hell, to oxford and cambridge -- while i'm at it.

yeah, because you can totally expect me to consider an idea like that and then reject it immediately. so now i have more forms to think about downloading ... [fret]
