okay, that was exciting --

something just happened that made my floor shake. don't know what, but it shook pretty violently. and i stuck my head out on the landing, and two of my three neighbors up here on the third floor report the same thing. i'm on the front of the building and they're on the back, and they say their walls were creaking and windows were rattling.

[eta: my neighbor just knocked on the door to tell me, and bougrelasxiv has supplied a link below apparently telling us, that it was an earthquake. cause we totally expect those on the east coast. heh.]
