psych (language development) (i.e. word learning): A
russian grammar and syntax: A
russian syntax and semantics: A+
huzzah! this means that my GPA over the course of my MA, if i had one, would be 3.86 (assuming 3.7 for an A- and 3.4 for a B+). i can definitely handle that. (my undergrad GPA was 3.224. my mother's was 3.9, and in grad school she pulled a 4.0; but my brother graduated with a 3.7x and my mother is currently pulling something below 3.8 in law school. i shouldn't care so much about numbers -- in fact, i don't actually care about the numbers, but i do care that i've always been the weakest student in my immediate family and now i have a bit of mostly meaningless, but still evidence that i've done better.) sadly, being how i'm a graduate student, my GPA is not calculated at all. but the PhD apps ask for it; i'm going to call on monday and ask if they want me to fill in N/A or what the GPA would have been if there'd been one.
also, now that all the grades are in, i'll definitely graduate next monday. i had moments of freak-out that the registrar would say "we're all set except for the fall grades, but this one hasn't come in yet ..."
