fun phone call #1: yes, you can so waive that late fee. oh, yes you can. and let me tell you why. if you don't send me a bill? you don't get to charge me extra money when my payment is past due. oh, no you don't. of course i'll pay the bill, but i'm very interested in not paying any late fee. of course i'll hold for a supervisor.
fun phone call #2: a former co-worker (whom i outranked, in a manner of speaking, just a bit) asked me if she could name me as a professional reference, and they called! i've never been a professional reference before. it was cool, but i had no idea if i was saying the right things. i hope she gets the job.
