It's a trend. I invited twenty people to a party this summer--written invitations, asked them to rsvp--and got one (1) response. Grrr. And there's really no excuse for not responding to an invitation to a bridal shower or a wedding. That's incredibly rude.

Of course, when we got married there were a few people who rsvp'ed yes and didn't show up. That's not any better. One of them said he forgot. [rolls eyes]
