how long is a weekend?
friday: flew to florida for friend's bridal shower(s). almost got bumped off the second leg of the trip; would have spent the night in cincinnati and flown to tampa saturday morning, but (a) my bag would have gone to orlando friday night no matter what, and (b) the bride said Please Don't as that would make things Too Complicated To Deal With. so, no dice.
saturday: bridal shower. huge success!
sunday: surprise bridal shower 2. huge success! then, in the evening, to the airport for the flight home.
massively oversold. i've never seen an airport like this when there wasn't weather or some other external cause. so -- bumped off the plane! yay me. only, they couldn't reschedule me for anything on monday. so i was supposed to fly home sunday evening, and instead i was going to fly home tuesday morning. yay, travel vouchers, and yay, more time with friends!
monday: hung out. much fun.
tuesday: got to airport in time for early morning flight. oversold; bumped again! yay, more vouchers! and i was rescheduled for a flight at noon, and got home around 5 pm. whew. much exhaustion -- but very glad. :-D
