so what's fun is:
when you're talking to your grandmother, who's starting to feel better after being diagnosed with pneumonia but preferring to stay home rather than go to the hospital, and then you stop hearing her respond to what you're saying. and you say 'are you still there?' and hear nothing. and you meet your mother's eyes as you say 'grandma?!'
-- but fortunately, just before you both start to panic, you hear a couple of beeps and it turns out that the cell phone you're talking on has dropped the call. and you call back, and everything's fine.
