heh. my favorites are actually the ones who started out calling me by my real name, and then switched at some point to calling me Fox. like esti626 and mearagrrl and ... shoot, half the curling club ... and the cmshaws and esti626s (again) and darthramis and so on who know me as Fox but then situations come up where they have to call me by my first name, like when we work in the same building or i'm with my parents or whatever, and obviously they know the right name, but it's weird for them to say it, and it's even weirder for them to hear it.

i actually had to ask datlowen to stop calling me by my given name at curling one time.
