and then there's a moment when all the crap that's been gumming up the inside of your head for three days kind of congeals, or coagulates, and it's easier to get rid of it.  and your ears quit popping, and you're so hopped up on decongestants that it feels like your sinuses have been scraped raw with a wire brush, but you don't care, because compared to how you've been feeling, it's bliss.
