today's note from my mother is a forward of a message from my aunt from last night, saying my grandmother is in intensive care, and doing much better.  both my brother and i said "um, hi, ICU, better than what exactly?" -- but the best we can work out is, she's been in there the whole time (at least since friday morning, possibly since thursday?), so she's doing better in ICU now than she was in ICU before.  and, my mother says, hoping that's just where they admit you, when you're 86 and your congestive heart failure is acting up.
