so this is the second qualifying round in snowboarding halfpipe -- six guys are already in, and the rest get another crack at the other six spots.
first to ride is a russian kid who flubbed a trick toward the end of his run, and the commentator says "Well, on the bright side, I suppose, if everyone else falls, he could still qualify." (there are 37 more guys, but, okay.)

(and the next guy flubbed an apparently easier trick, so the russian kid is still -- improbably -- in first place. hee.)
