dress me up

So as I said, eight ends of curling the other night.  And there's not really any way at all to deny that my clothes, they are too big.  My pants were always a little on the long side, but not so long that I tripped on the cuffs, so it was no problem, really.  But now that there is a great deal less leg in them, they do come down and get under my heels pretty persistently.  (They'd fall over my toes if they could, but they're so caught up in my heels that they never really get up there.  They're that long, but not that full.)  I spent more time making sure there was nothing between my foot and the ice than was really reasonable.  Also, I pulled the drawstring waistband all the way in and it wasn't enough to stop it riding down on my hips (which did nothing for the length issues, of course).

My shirts and my newer fleece fit fine, because while my waist and ribs have diminished, my chest has mostly not.  I did have an issue with my special team Challenge victory shirt, in that the sleeve bagged down so far that I couldn't get my broom all the way up under my arm without yanking the sleeve out of the way first.  That shirt is undeniably much too big.  And finally, my sports bras are sort of comically the wrong size.  I believe they are labeled 38D, which is the best I could do at the time I absolutely needed to buy sports bras in an emergency way, when I snapped a wire of a regular bra in the third end of a game at Chesapeake.  My normal bras are 34FF.  So no, the sports bras don't actually fit, but they are fractionally better than nothing, and it's not a high-impact sport, so they've been all right for a few months - but they're obviously less okay now than they were in June, which was already less okay than they were in March or whenever when I got them.

I have ordered a Shock Absorber level 4 from figleaves (just one, because man, 50 bucks - not that I think it's unreasonable, but there's no denying it's expensive) and I suppose I might investigate what's available at Dick's this morning or afternoon when I get over there to try to get new pants -- which will also be expensive.  Add to this that, outside of size issues, I will need to get new shoes and a new broom when Goldline gets here next week, as well as the minor thing of paying my curling club dues, and I think I'll be moving some money from the savings to the checking account, this month.  Sigh.
