Okay, memo, can camera and sound communicate?
But I do like that music girl gets to do her thanks anyway. Plus, I love that her accent is both Czech and Irish. Hee!
Aaand, here's my dead montage. At last. (Aww! Jack Valenti! I knew I didn't recognize the president-dude.) And Heath Ledger appears last, which was sort of bound to happen. I'll tell you what I appreciated, was that in 1994, when they had People Who Had Died In 1993, they used Raul Julia last, and it was a shot from The Addams Family where he smiled and gave a little bow. Best. Valedictory. Clip. Ever. (With possible competition from, say, Jack Palance tipping his hat and winking. That sort of thing.)
Here is Amy Adams in a much better dress. Still looking a little bottom-heavier than one would expect, though.
This is the first thing Atonement has won tonight. I've been seriously sitting here wondering if they were going to shoot the moon.
... And then everyone in the room is all, "Baghdad? We can't applaud that ... seriously? Oh, shit, we'd better."
