Except for the two-mile backup getting out of Ohio and some inexplicable slowness from before Hagerstown to after Frederick (which would be normal going the other way, but coming east?!), the trip was absolutely uneventful. Beat Thanksgiving's time by about two and a half hours, and the stress was nil.

Having a slow evening looking at my Chanukah candles and knitting and maybe putting some things away from time to time. Soon: new year's fun time!

I am looking forward to New Year's fun time, after the low-grade stress of dealing with my family. I love them, but right now I'm staying at a house with a five-year-old and a 2-and-a-half-year-old.

It's loud and stressful, and yet another reason I'm glad I don't have kids.
