So I did a big Spring Clean yesterday. A big one. I headed out for the Pike when I said, and I got a couple of new shower curtain liners (my shower is kind of stupid and requires two curtains) and some groceries, and then I came home and had scrubbed the bathroom to within an inch of its life and was just hanging up the new liners when [livejournal.com profile] sanj called. We had some dinner and some chilling and then I returned home to clean more stuff. Put the bed back up on lifts, like I said, stashed some stuff under it, figured out some closet tetris (particularly in the guest room), sorted out most of my knitting stuff (I keep finding more of it in the living room), vacuumed, did all the dishes, took out half a metric assload of trash. Couple of bags waiting to go to the Goodwill. Ran the dishwasher. I didn't dust, but that's always the last thing I do (because it lasts the least).

And listen, EXTRA BONUS: with the bed up on lifts, the frame is clear of the outlet near the baseboard where the alarm clock is plugged in. Which means the head of the bed can be (and is!) flush against the wall instead of three inches or so away. Which means my pillows are no longer skittering away from me all night. !!! Between that and the fact that I swapped the wretched beat-down pillows (which have been better since I took them out of the allergy cases, but still well past their day) for the ones that had been living in the shams, I had the best and most comfortable night's sleep I'd had in MONTHS.

Spring is good.
