iowa, vermont, DC, and you

Very pleased, clearly, about last week's news out of Iowa. Even more pleased by this week's news out of Vermont (legislature ftw!). Heartened, only, by yesterday's news out of DC. (Good start, guys. Be brave.) But here's the thing: it's about equal rights, isn't it. It's about marriage. I haven't used the phrase "same-sex marriage" in five years, and I hope one day nobody else will either.
