ellen_fremedon, were horrified (or at the very least stunned) that I'd made it this long without ever seeing a single episode of Star Trek (The Original Series, that is; I've seen some Next Generation, and I did watch Enterprise for a while and recognized it as bad, don't worry - but it had Scott Bakula, and what's a girl to do?; and I believe I've seen at least one or two episodes of whichever of the other ones has the woman captain, but it obviously didn't make much of an impression), so a Plan was instituted whereby I would be in-- inwhat, initiated? indoctrinated? introduced, at the very least, with Star Trek 101. This grew from Ellen naming episodes at me to a number of us gathering at meri_oddities' place today and watching, I don't know, a half-dozen episodes, and there was also sanj and neotoma and cinco and pocketmouse and kiezh and surprise lanning!, and tasty Urban BBQ and then tasty Chinese food and then tasty ice cream, and plus I did a whole square in my parents' anniversary afghan, and all in all, it was a positive day from almost the start to definitely the finish. :-)

Also, no, I totally did not see you. I drive about ten times a year so I am generally concentrating pretty hard. Or, er, singing along with Adam Lambert. One of those.
