that is her tragedy.

I haven't become my mother, of course. I'm too much like my father to become completely like her, for a start. :-) But I am nevertheless noting, lately, a particular satisfaction with having cleaned my place. You've all seen me talk about doing Sunday chores on a Thursday, a few times; today I have actually done Sunday chores on a Sunday, and I knew I'd feel better for having done them, and I do.

Errands are run, laundry is laundering, floors are swept (parenthetically: nothing fuzzy lives here, just me and my longish hair, and yet you'd be amazed at the dust-and-fuzz balls) and vacuumed and things what need scrubbing are scrubbed, and I will put the dishes away and fold the clean laundry and turn over the wet laundry and then I will bask.

My mom's not such a bad way to be. :-)

We are having that sort of day too! Vacuumed all the rugs, folded the laundry, burned all of the cardboard we'd been meaning to burn and even now my sweetie is sweeping and mopping the kitchen floor, which seriously needed it omg. *g* Soon, when the ash in the fireplace is thoroughly cool, we will empty out the fireplace for the summer. w00t!

Even lazy me was productive today! Did the grocery shopping, got the car washed inside and out, and did several loads of laundry at the awesome Latino lavanderia in College Park (I had to wash my comforter in one of their big machines, so I just did everything else while I was there.)

So yes, I am enjoying the flooping of righteousness, which actually *is* nicer than the flooping of inertia. ;)

I do live with two furry things, and I know that complicates the equation - but I swear my actual longish HAIR attracts dust from neighboring counties.

My mom's not such a bad way to be. :-)

Hah. I like that.
