fox: arctic fox: time to hibernate (hibernate)

two memos:

1. to self, attention stomach: would you please make up your mind what things are going to upset you, and i'll avoid them. i swear. i'm sorry about the ice cream, but you know this morning was lousy and i deserved it -- and besides, that was over twelve hours ago, so that can't be what's motivating you at the moment. get it together, willya?

2. to [livejournal.com profile] darthrami: i have your chapstick. it's in the would-be-an-ashtray-is-now-a-coin-jar-place-where-the-phone-lives thing. so don't panic. :-)

side note: in fact, what i want to do is the exact opposite of hibernation -- i want to go someplace nice and cool and take a nap and wait out the summer. should i call that aestivating?

quite right --

Main Entry: es·ti·vate
Pronunciation: -"vAt
Function: intransitive verb
Inflected Form(s): -vat·ed; -vat·ing
Date: 1626
1 : to spend the summer usually at one place
2 : to pass the summer in a state of torpor -- compare HIBERNATE

-- but that just goes "ding ding ding" and points to my friend [livejournal.com profile] esti626, which is far too [strange/apropos]. heh.
