update to the update
OH! And you guys. I may not have to buy more yarn after all. I've got a small square, a rectangle, and a large square to do in the main color - the equivalent of seven small squares, which is about how much I get out of one skein, and I've got a little less than a full skein left - but I've gathered up the salvage from the end-trimming, and while the inch-long actual ends are obviously not usable, the complicated process of tightening the seams after each block is complete tends to yield "ends" that can be as long as my arm, which can totally be usable especially toward the end of a block where the rows are much shorter.
