Dudes. I don't know how it's possible, but I have never in my life been called for jury duty. (Well. I guess I've only been eligible since I was eighteen. But given that for six of the [non-consecutive] years since then I've lived some hundreds or even thousands of miles from where I was registered to vote, you'd think it would have come up before now, just because of how inconvenient it would have been.) I live in the DC area and I'm not a lawyer; I'm shocked that I've never been summoned.

[eta: Aha - actually, this is not a summons for jury service. Says right here that it's a questionnaire to determine eligibility. But no other jurisdiction I've ever lived in has even gone that far.]

Are you sure you've got DC residency? I thought the Beltway Bandits had some sort of electronic-collar doohickey set up to repel all boarders without the requisite JD.
