sigh.

So I turn on the television while I'm drinking my coffee, and it's pixelly and the sound is coming in and out every couple of seconds. On every channel: not okay. So I call up Comcast, wondering as I do why on earth they think I'd want to invite them to provide my phone and internet as well as my television, hi, and of course I'm on hold forEVER.

I wish the please-continue-to-hold recording didn't tell me all representatives were currently servicing other customers. Serving, sure. Providing service, no problem. Servicing ... oh dear.

Extra bonus well-done Comcast: when one kind of hold recording persistently cuts off another kind. GUYS. TIMING.

Anyway, after about twenty minutes of waiting on hold being assured that they were looking forward to talking with me soon, the cable went out completely for about ninety seconds, and when it came back it was sorted. So I hung up and it's all fine, but no fooling, VERIZON FIOS WHERE ARE YOUUUUU.
