things
1. I am in a pretty good place w/r/t one of the two work things I have to do by the middle of next week. Trouble is, I've been working on that one for several weeks, and the other one not at all, and now there's like two or three days in which to do something. Put out a shout for help this afternoon and got a shout back, thank god.
2. Head cold getting worse and worse all day. Ran out of the tissues with the lotion in them and had to fall back on the scratchy supply-room tissues. My poor nose is all kinds of scratched up. I put menthol-y lip balm on it, and it hurt like hell but I must admit it is not quite so rough.
3. I ate the pickled ginger that came with my California rolls. I don't normally care for pickled ginger, but I did feel the benefit of it. I had also asked the man for extra wasabi, so now I'm breathing clearly (for the next few minutes). Soon I may also make some latkes, because LATKES. On which subject ...

I made latkes! Needs a little more salt, but at least I managed not to burn myself with the oil ...
