ow.

So yesterday I did something wonky to my right leg while I was curling. One of the times I was coming out of the hack, I believe, because when I tried to stretch that leg sideways it didn't help at all, and only doing the curling stretch with that leg back as if it were trailing helped at all. Pulled a muscle, I thought. I took three Advil after the game and put some heat on it when I got home.

Today it still felt a little twinge-y during the day, and then I got to curling and oh my god. It hurt like hell. I asked my team to let me switch to lead rocks, because it's easier to do whatever I was doing to protect my leg (not dropping as hard as I usually do) when I'm just trying to throw guards.

It hurts so much. Ow, ow, ow. I took four Advil in the second end and have just had ice on it for about ten minutes when I got home. Am going to change into my jammies and put the ice back on for a few minutes. Ice is better than heat, right?, because it will make the swelling go down?

When I tore muscles, I was told to use ice the first day or two, to reduce inflammation; after that, heat would be good.
