i have spoken to someone at pepco.

I was very nice to her ("I'm calling to ask about my electricity. Like everyone else, I'm sure. How are you guys doing? You okay?"). In, I believe, return for which, she was very nice to me. Not that she could give me different answers, but she was nice about it.

She hopes they will have power restored to me and my immediate neighbors some time today. She thinks it is likely it will be some time tomorrow. She admits it is possible it will be as late as Friday.

I'ma head home soon and pick up some more stuff, and then move into [personal profile] wordplay's basement for the duration.

...Aaaaand Tuesday's storm is meant to bring high winds and we might just lose power all over again.

I'm still over at M's as my building is still cold and dark.

We have no idea what the cause is--my whole block is out, south of Flower to Manchester and between Wayne and Piney Branch. Maria read the weather news to me and then we both envisioned *her* losing power too. OH NOES.
