also, white collar.
So okay: Peter is totally gone on Neal (and Elizabeth, of course); Neal is totally gone on Peter and Elizabeth both; and I don't believe even for one minute that Kate is dead. (Because if we knew for sure, what on earth would Neal have to MacGuffin after in the second season? I think Neal knows for sure that she's dead, and in the first or second episode of the new season something will happen to make him think he's losing his mind, and then OMG KATE MAY NOT BE DEAD FOR REALZ WE MUST SPEND SEVERAL EPISODES TRYING TO FIND OUT IN BETWEEN ALL THE OTHER FBI HIJINKS. I know, it's like I've watched television before, or something.)
But listen: it was the emotional scene with Peter that saved Neal from the 'splodey plane, right? So let me ask you this. Who the hell, in this day and age, rigs a plane to explode and then puts the bomb on a timer?! Shouldn't it have been set to go off when Neal, I don't know, fastened his seat belt or something? Or, better yet, when the bomber who was watching pressed a button?! (Assuming they wanted to kill Neal and not Kate or any pilot-type person, it'd have to have happened as soon as he was on the plane and before he realized there was nobody else there.) As it is, the Big Bad who's pulling Fowler's strings has just, in the service of giving us a throughline for Season 2, wasted a perfectly good private jet. :-P
