My phone rang an hour before its alarm was set to go off, letting me know the power was back on at home. Hurrah! Am packing up the things I brought to the wonderful sadcypress's and heading out, to shower in my own place, close the windows, &c.

I still hate Pepco, but I no longer hate any of you. :-)

Yay for you! Denis got an estimate from Pepco, we should have power some time before Friday at midnight. This would be better news if it wasn't only Tuesday.

Ugh, I'm so sorry! I was miserable in less than 48 hours - I think being in the "some complicated cases" group would make me literally homicidal. (But on the up side, the estimate I got was "by Thursday evening", and it was Tuesday morning - so I'm still hopeful you'll have yours back by tomorrow!)
