missed another one.
"Envy" took me a little time to get over, I guess. :-)
Day 1 - Pride. Seven great things about yourself.
Day 2 - Greed. Seven worldly material desires.
Day 3 - Wrath. Seven things that piss you off.
Day 4 - Sloth. Seven things you neglect to do.
Day 5 - Envy. Seven qualities you lack and covet.
Day 6 - Gluttony. Seven guilty pleasures.
I'll begin by saying I agree with one of my best friends, College Roommate L, who maintains that it is not healthy to identify things as "guilty pleasures" - self-shaming never got anyone anywhere. If you enjoy something that [barring, you know, unusual excess] hurts no one, not even yourself, why not enjoy the fact that it makes you happy, rather than turn it into a locus of guilt, which you've probably got plenty of in any case? Her thing happens to be romance novels, and she's past "guilty pleasure" and into "fuck you, I'm going to enjoy this", and good for her, say I.

- I've been in a chocolate-and-peanut-butter phase, specifically but not exclusively with respect to ice cream (and milkshakes, omg), for about three years now, and I can't see any end in sight.
- Zzz. This might more properly have gone under Sloth, but I don't mean to focus on the kind of sleep where I'm being lazy; I mean to focus on the kind of sleep where my bed (or my couch) is the most comfortable place in the world and I really want to stay there forever. A nice heavy duvet and lots of cushy pillows to snuggle down into? Bliss is definitely a gluttonous thing.
- A really hot shower, especially after a long time away or a power failure or (hey) both. So I'm sort of conflating gluttony with hedonism; you want to make something of it?
- I try not to be a baby hog, but sometimes I can't help it. :-) Spoiling other people's children (well, "spoiling"; I do make efforts not to undermine the parents, because their jobs are certainly hard enough) - or even no spoiling, just a lot of snuggles - makes me happy.
- Meee. I'm on the fence about this one, really: I'd say I can never get enough praise, but that's not actually true, because two weeks in a row now the director has singled out the soprano section at the end of rehearsal for extra props from everyone else - and it's true that the piece is hardest on us, so there's a way in which it's true we're working the hardest, but we're also sort of done hearing that. So who knows. But on the other hand, every time someone tells me I have a nice voice or they love my dress or whatever, I eat it up like candy.
- Popcorn. I might not have answered this way any time other than this year, but oh my goodness, when the braces come off, I am going to make popcorn on the stove and throw all kinds of melted butter on it and it is going to be awesome.
- Business class. It is totally unnecessary to my life, but I love it up there. Comfy seats and free-flowing drinkies, away from the hoodlums back in coach: waaant.
Day 7 - Lust. Seven love secrets.

Oh, my gosh - YES. With decent water pressure. And a shower head that actually functions.
