I was going to go to the movies today. I was going to see Captain America, or Cowboys & Aliens, or both. But then I spent most of the afternoon asleep on the couch (and miserable), and now every muscle between my ribs and my knees aches.

I suppose I could still go see one or the other. But I don't know if I'd enjoy it.

Anh, I can go another day. I have Generation Kill over here that I've never seen, and I don't have to leave the house (I don't even have to change out of my jammies) to watch it.

You can come with me next weekend to see Cowboys & Aliens if you're feeling better then.

Right now, rest up. Do you need groceries/cooked food?

Aw, thanks! I'm okay for groceries and things - I'm feeling a lot better now, even, just kind of wrung-out and exhausted. (Last time I felt entirely better the next morning, so I am optimistic.)

And I'll be out of town next weekend, but I appreciate the invitation. :-)

It was not a fun afternoon. Now that I'm feeling substantially better, I find that I'm reflecting on my good fortune that I don't (or, you know, depending what they ultimately say about my head and neck and jaw) have debilitating chronic pain - but I'm not reflecting too hard, because as people have been reminding me, the fact that you don't have to deal with it all the time doesn't make acute pain less painful. :-/
