I consulted with bossfolk about deadlines and determined that the two August options for my Stratford vacation were Right Out, and therefore the only - only - time I could go up and see the shows I wanted to see was September 18-19. On to the website I go to book tickets, and for three of the four, I get good seats at cut rates no problem (recall that I think sitting by the sound board is a perk, and am not arguing when they want to charge me fifteen dollars less for it), but the fourth, Cymbeline, is listed as "low availability" on their calendar ... and when I go to the seat selector there's not a single seat actually available. Woe! So I call up the box office, sit through half a cycle of their stupid recording telling be how wonderful this season is (I know! I'm trying to get tickets for it!), and get a charming young woman who tells me that performance is sold out except for two tickets being held for American Express cardholders.

Thanks be to CostCo for whose purpose I have the silly AmEx card, I snagged one of those two seats and my tickets are fully booked and in my inbox. HURRAH!

Travel and accommodations can come later. The tickets were the important thing. My vacation is in place!
