things i've been wrong about today

I thought mono was like chicken pox, in the way that once you had it, sure, the virus was with you for the rest of your life, but you had an acquired immunity to it and would never get symptoms again.

Wrong! My mono spot came back positive when I went in with the same sore throat that turned out to be mono two years ago. Awesome.

I'm home and going to have a nap and then when I wake up I'll get some work done.

So... would now be a good time to mention that it's totally possible to get the chicken pox more than once? (Says the woman who had it multiple times as a kid.)

See, i thought it was one of those "once you've had it you'll always test positive because its in you" or whatever. Huh. Better look that up.
