catching up

between spraining my ankle and fleeing the storm, i was feeling like my schedule this semester was getting away from me. but since i gave my classes a wussy assignment this week (at least three kids came to me and pointed out that the definitions i asked for on the homework were on the handout; i said "so it shouldn't be too hard, then, should it?" and explained that i wanted the definitions to demonstrate to me that they understood the concept, instead of that they could copy from one piece of paper to the other) and ditched psych this morning, i feel like i'm within a couple steps of getting back on top of it.

The bar advertises the event as "leprechaun curling" after the Irish winter sport of curling, in which large flat stones are thrown across an ice-covered lake towards a mark.

(of course, it's actually a scottish winter sport, most popular in canada -- but maybe all those blows to the head have confused the little guy a bit.)
