And then this morning, Himself walked the prince to within a few steps of me and said "Can you walk to Mommy?" and let go of his little hand, and the prince smiled and toddled the three or four steps to where I was crouching. \o/ And a few minutes later while Himself was putting his shoes on I did the same for him (because it's different looking at the back of the child's head, isn't it?). So we have both seen him walk, hands-free, in our own home! Yay!

It's going to be a little bit before he's confident enough that we'll be able to get it on video, so the grandmas will have to wait.

I remember when my oldest son was at that toddling stage, he would walk holding onto hands, furniture, etc, but NOT by himself. He liked holding onto this little cotton rope I had, and once we realized that, we took hold of one side, and he walked all over. Then he looked and realized we had dropped our end LONG AGO. :) He was fine after that.
