why are they swinging? why are they swinging?

darththalia and the rest of the cubs fans. i assure you that i know almost exactly how you feel. the important thing? shake it off, and next season will be better -- i'm noticing that a lot of your guys used to be cleveland indians, in fact (ramirez and lofton are the ones that spring to mind, but i know there are others), so there's no question they can get it done. let these marlins win the world series, and then they'll all be sold off again, and everybody else can start over without them.
[i'm about ready to name the marlins the NL antichrist ...]

I didn't know Lofton had played for the Indians. We got really lucky with him. When Corey Patterson was injured we thought it'd be a disaster, but Lofton has been at least as good.
Wasn't that a horrible ninth inning, though? I was cringing. They really didn't deserve to win this one. I think after yesterday they were just demoralized.
