well, that was a minor disaster.
we lost our first game. the other guy didn't win, mind you -- we lost. it was ours to win, and we didn't. as a group, we played lousy (though in our defense,![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
datlowen and i were much more on our game than the back end; and in their defense, the back end has hardly been on the ice since last spring -- hardly, in the vice's case, that is, and not at all, in the skip's).
fortunately, the game of which we will now play the loser this evening at 5:30 went exactly as it should have. and if we'd won last night, we'd have played the winner of that game, and died. so. we've decided to win the rest of our games this weekend; anyone else playing in the 'spiel take note.
